Harrison, ME Carriage Barn Circa 1850

This is a 24’ 6” x 25’ carriage barn originally from Norway, Maine.  We dismantled, cleaned, repaired and re-assembled the frame in Harrison, Me.  It will be used as a small barn with living space on second floor.  Nice dropped tie frame with hewn common rafters.  Timbers are Hemlock, Spruce and Pine.   We found the date of October 8, 1850 on one post which is most likely the original build date.
